Pricing
The goal of the r-lidar organization is to maintain and develop the free and open source software lidR and lasR as well as other tools of the ecosystem. In order to be sustainable, we are offering several non-free services including training course, R&D and consulting. Costumers are not paying for one of our services, but rather are paying for a subscription to our services. For example, if you pay us $5000 you get access to any of our service for a value of $5000. Pricing can start as low as $100 and go as high as you wish. We already conducted R&D for a year long for companies.

FAQ
1/ Why should we pay for a free software?
Our pieces of software are free, you are paying for an additional and personalized service. If I can save you two weeks of investigation, trial and error, this worth the cost.
2/ Do you plan to make lidR or lasR close source and licenced?
lidR and lasR are relying on the shoulders of giants. We are using open source libraries and our software products are consequently also open source. This will never change. However, just like you, we need a source of income for our work. Without support, lidR and lasR will no longer be maintained.
3/ How to contact you?
Email us, use the chat box on this site, use the form on the contact page. See the contact page.
4/ Can you develop tools for Python or Matlab
We are developing R-based tools because R offers a cross-platform environment with tools that guarantees us to be able to provide extremely easy to install and workable tools on any platform. lidR is extremely tight to R. lasR is not but currently the only API is an R package.
5/ In which countries are you working
All countries. We are based in Québec, Canada but we can provide our expertise remotely by setting online meeting and we can travel to meet you in person worldwide if necessary (for training course for example)
